Honorable Marianne E. Becker Fund Is Pleased to Announce That Funding Is Available For Restorative Justice Programs Operating in Waukesha County, Wisconsin

The Honorable Marianne E. Becker Fund is pleased to announce that it is accepting grant requests from restorative justice programs operating within Waukesha County, Wisconsin.

“Grants are available as a result of generous contributions from supporters,” says Brad Schimel, Waukesha County District Attorney and a Member of the Board of Directors.  “Restorative justice programs provide important opportunities for healing for victims of crime and the community at large, as well as for the offender.  As a result, our community is a safer and more pleasant place to live,” Schimel says.

The Honorable Marianne E. Becker Fund was founded by her family after the judge’s untimely death in 2003.  The fund’s mission is to continue Judge Becker’s work creating an awareness of the principles of restorative justice in the community and to identifying and supporting restorative justice programs operating in Waukesha County.
