Honorable Marianne E. Becker Fund Awards the Mediation and Restorative Justice Center with a Grant to Help Operate New Waukesha Teen Court

The Honorable Marianne E. Becker Fund has awarded the Mediation and Restorative Justice Center with a $1500.00 grant award that will be used to help initiate and operate the Waukesha Teen Court.
“The Directors of the Becker Fund were excited to approve this grant award for the Waukesha Teen Court,” says Scott Becker, the Executive Director of the Becker Fund. “The Waukesha Teen Court will help the overburdened juvenile justice system and it will utilize the principles of restorative justice in this order: bringing restitution to the victims of a crime, rehabilitation to the juvenile offender and making our community a safer place for everyone. This is a great day for Waukesha.”
The Honorable Marianne E. Becker Fund was founded by her family in March, 2004 with the mission of creating an awareness of the principles of restorative justice in the community.
